Women programs:A-

The most important objectives of the association is to strength women and empower them through training, educational programs and cultural activities, and develop the skills of women, especially young leaders in the use of information and communication technology and leadership skills.

The purpose of the training courses and educationalprograms is to empowerment  women by strengthening their capabilities and skills in all areas, as well as promoting a supportive climate by raising the capabilities affairs and develop the skills of both working in the projects aimed to women or of its service providers, the most important programs and training courses are as following.

1-For rural women training courses in the field of ( defense of women's rights, health education, violence against women, participate in the electoral process, etc.)

Training courses in women's economic rights  2-

Training courses in the field of community health  3-

- Training courses on the Elimination of all forms of violence against women4-

5-Training courses on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women(CEDAW)

6-Discussion sessions around the situation of enable displaced women (psychologically and economically)

. 7-Seminars entitled (human relationship to citizenship rights, human rights and social service))

8-Established center for legal consultancy center

 B-Youth Programs

AL-Manahil focused on the category of young (male & female) for they represent the strength of the community, and its leaders, young people are the measure of the progress of nations. AAWD implemented a number of programs and activities for young aimed to strength the role of youth in the community and involve them in the political process.

1-Post issues of public opinion and advocacy as issues of women's and children's rights program, and advocacy for marginalized groups to get their rights

2-Panel discussions on the expansion of knowledge and stimulate the mind to participate in voluntaryand collective work

3-Workshops on how to develop dialogue among young and peace-building

4-Educational seminars program (Youth Voice) to participate in the elections and the political process more than 3,000 young men and women from the province of Basraparticipated in the election campaigns and  in various media and community campaigns

 Youth program and community media is a discussion sessions on the Facebook page ask young suggestions and express their views on the side of the fight against administrative corruption, the Page entitle (youth anti-corruption), moreover AAWD implemented a number of activities, including a training course on projects to curb corruption, and the most important institutions where corruption is increased and law enforcement on spoilers

Peace-building

Elections and the democratic process for Parliament and Province council   

AL-Manahil carried out a number of programs, activities and campaigns in the field of elections and the democratic process Promotion funded by IFES, and  WGF.

* Project for dialogue and capacity building of the electoral process effective national

AAWD organized four stages of the project, the first phase organizing ten panel discussions in ten districts of the province of Basra on electoral education as the road to democracy, the second phase is youth election campaigns including organizing of five seminars to educate youth centers, ten panel sessions , awareness campaigns in 

            Concept of citizenship and its importance in the decision making process-

            Right and responsibilities of citizens to participate in the political process-

            -Importance of engaging women, youth and IDPs (their rights to participate in the political process, their importance in the  decision making, gender equity and social balance
