Awareness

Promoting

Equality

Enhancing Awareness of Violence Against Women:

Listen, Act, Learn. Repeat

We have significantly increased awareness within Iraqi society of the concept of violence against women and its social, cultural, economic, and health impacts on individuals, families, and communities. Our programs and campaigns involve men, tribal leaders, and Provincial Council members to combat violence against women effectively.

Promoting Dialogue

Capacity for Effective National Electoral Processes

We aim to increase public participation in the electoral process and foster a collaborative environment between the Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) and Iraqi civil society. This initiative seeks to enhance awareness, understanding, and support for electoral processes amidst historically low participation rates and diminished public trust in governmental and democratic institutions.

Advancing Legal Equality:

Since 2005, our ‘Equality’ program has made significant progress on Iraq’s legal landscape through:

  • Building an electronic network for communication among associations across various provinces.
  • Organizing and facilitating swift communication between coordinators in all governorates.
  • Providing humanitarian assistance, including legal, social, and psychological services, as well as both cash and in-kind food aid.
